Back in 2009, Vijay K. Ingle (Proprietor) established Greenfield as a young entrepreneur with the idea of starting his own seed business. This initiative came after gaining 16 years of experience in Seed Companies like Nath Seeds, Syngenta (formerly Sandoz), and Nirmal Seeds, where he worked in Quality Control, Seed Production, Marketing, Sales, and Research departments.

He holds a B.Sc Degree in Agriculture from Rajarshee Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj College of Agriculture, Kolhapur, and an M.Sc from Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahuri.

With 16 years of extensive experience in the agriculture seed sector, he has gained significant expertise in seed technology. His competencies in the seed sector include formulating business strategies, product positioning, sales and marketing, branding, and research.

In 2009, he started his own company, initially providing consulting services, R&D, seed production, and marketing after completing a training program from UAS Bangalore sponsored by the SFAC & NABARD scheme of AC & ABC conducted by the Government of India. His aim was to serve farmers for Better farming by providing Seeds for a Better Future.

His goal is to provide quality seeds in hybrid vegetables and research paddy to all farming communities. Since 2010, he has been exporting seeds to overseas companies and has over 150 buyers globally for seeds.

Today, Greenfield is a well-known brand in the agriculture seeds industry, specializing in research paddy and hybrid vegetable seeds.
